Bhaskareeyam 2026, Bhaskar's Arts Academy's annual performing arts festival, is a tribute to its founders - dance doyens Sri KP Bhaskar and Smt Santha Bhaskar. For over seven decades, they devoted their lives to the arts and the institutions that continue to be shaped by their philosophies. Their impact on Singapore’s arts scene is beyond measure and defies description. This annual festival celebrates their legacy and their lifelong love for the Arts. From 14 to 16 Aug, experience extraordinary music and dance from acclaimed artists across Singapore and around the world. An inspiring lineup awaits you at this spectacular celebration of the performing arts. Headline Act Headlining the Festival is Carnatic vocalist and playback singer Sai Vignesh, who brings a voice of clarity, verve, and emotional depth to both concert halls and cinema. From Filmfare-winning Varaha Roopam to soulful melodies like Kurumugil, his music resonates across generations. Main Acts From classical rigor to folk vibrance, from music to movement to mirth, this year's festival honours the past while celebrating the joy of the present. Witness the precision and grace of Bharatanatyam artist Kavya Muralidaran, whose artistry embodies both discipline and devotion. Experience the grandeur of Tripataka danceLab as they explore themes of sensuality, embodiment and human expression. Be swept into the raw energy of the earth with Makoolam Kalaikoodam, the folk dance specialists whose performances pulse with the heartbeat of tradition. Enjoy acclaimed violinist TV Sajith as he transforms every bow stroke into immersive musical conversations. Step into a soulful musical katcheri with the Anand Family, where music bridges generations. Explore the Chinese strings with Singapore Rojak as they break stereotypes and create a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new. And for a touch of levity, laugh along with Karthikeyan Somasundaram in his heartwarming comedic monologue, because art should make us laugh as much as it makes us reflect. Prasaantham Named in honour of Smt Santha Bhaskar, the Prasaantham series is intended as a platform for upcoming artistes to grow and glow, and as a stepping stone to be introduced to the music and dance industry. Thus far, the series has featured 28 dance artistes and 20 music artistes. This year, an electrifying showcase of emerging artistes await you! Preparing to take the industry by storm are Anshu Tukol (Kathak), Harshita Hariharan (Bharatanatyam), Krithikh Gopalakrishnan (Flute), Prishalini Rajendran (Bharatanatyam), Shriya Satish (Bharatanatyam), Sneha Mahesh (Carnatic vocal) and Vaishnav Muralidharan (Mridangam).
